For those curious, 1) you can sub vodka for another spirit 2) you can mix the grenadine with a heavy juice, though itll likely come out more opaque. Cranberry juice would work, but your overall flavors wouldnt be right. I'd recommend mixing grenadine with pomegranate juice or even OJ--especially if you could do blood orange juice. Generally, syrup will be heaviest so it will go to the bottom. Juice will then be next most dense. Lemonade will be more dense than water, but only barely. Soda will be next on least dense. Lastly, most spirits can float at the top. A lot of this has to do with how you pour your liquids--pouring into a spoon typically helps get the best floats. This is my own lil neurodivergent rant to help people improve their drinks based off the comments I read
